Overview:

The Paraplanner at TrueNorth Wealth & Impact is responsible for providing research, analysis, and planning support that enables Senior Advisors to deliver thoughtful, high-quality financial advice aligned with client values and goals. A significant portion of this role is dedicated to preparing and supporting annual client reviews in addition to the creation of plans for new clients. Additional responsibilities include updating financial plans, analyzing progress, preparing scenarios, and ensuring advisors are fully prepared for review meetings. The Paraplanner plays a central role in maintaining planning consistency, accuracy, and clarity across the client base.

This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, organizational discipline, and a collaborative, service-oriented mindset.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive financial plans and annual reviews to include understanding and documenting client goals, objectives, values and risk tolerance
  • Update assumptions and projections and analyze progress towards goals
  • Make planning recommendations and prepare scenarios as needed
  • Deliver requested annual review reporting package to lead advisor before scheduled client meetings
  • Prepare and distribute meeting summaries utilizing the advisor’s AI notetaker.
  • Stay up to date and informed on changes in law, markets or other circumstances that may impact client plans and communicate information to the team
  • Ensure planning data is accurate across our platforms, namely RightCapital, Holistiplan, Advyzon and CRM
  • Attend client meetings from time to time for advisor support if needed
  • Work closely with Service Advisor to align planning outputs with implementation steps
  • Coordinate handoffs so advisor recommendations translate efficiently into action
  • Provide back up support to the Service Advisor on meeting materials and planning tasks as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to planning standards, templates and process efficiency and improvements

Skills & Qualifications:

  • CFP® Professional or actively pursuing designation preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in an RIA
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related field
  • Experience with RightCapital, Holistiplan, Redtail and Advyzon a plus
  • Strong understanding of investments, including portfolio analysis
  • Strong work ethic, flexible and adaptive with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to multitask, take initiative, and be trustworthy and reliable
  • Self-starter who can work independently, is proactive, knows how to prioritize and has high standards
  • Ability to analyze client financial information and support advisor recommendations
  • Enjoys being part of a supportive and fun work environment while providing high quality work and client satisfaction

Compensation & Perks:

  • Full time W-2 position
  • Salary starting at $65K + depending on certifications and experience
