About EYW

EYW was founded in 2019 to bring fee-only financial planning to travel-loving young families who want to experience their money throughout their life and not just in “retirement” – hence the firm name!

A few highlights about EYW –

  • We are completely virtual & paperless. We meet with all clients via Zoom and heavily utilize technology internally & externally with clients
  • We currently have 72 clients at roughly $625,000 of ongoing revenue. Our current goal is to onboard 10 new clients/year, but we want to stay flexible
  • Our average client age is 41, average income is roughly $350,000 and median net worth is roughly $1,000,000
  • We have 2 standard “goal post” meetings with clients each year (meeting 1 = Feb – May; meeting 2 = Sept – Dec) and prioritize spaciousness in our calendars to support clients in between
  • We focus on proactive financial planning and outsource investment management to a firm called First Ascent
  • We have no minimum investment asset requirement which means we can work with clients without having to manage assets. We charge an annual fee starting at $7,500/year which then scales up as a client’s income and net worth increases. If clients want investment management, they pay the First Ascent fee directly
  • We operate using EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) to help us create a transparent, organized and intentional work environment
